Double page spread analysis 2
This is a magazine article from "Radar" this is an indie band so it is not my chosen genre but i thought i could analyse different types of genre to get a wider range of knowledge and ideas. This magazine is aimed at teenagers and young adults, mainly male. The colour scheme is white, blue and black, these colours would suggestively represent boys. I would see the blue on the page being associated with the teenage band which the article is about. There is no colours that relate to girls on this page which would also suggest that the article is represented to males. There is one picture used which covers an entire page of the spread, this is effective because instead of having lots of small pictures it seems to make a statement by having one main picture. The article is very busy with puffs telling us different facts and information about the band, which is effective rather than putting it all into the one big block of writing the writers have broke sections of it off and spread it across the page. The edges of the puffs on these pages are scruffy and looked like they have been ripped, this could be associated with a teenage boy life and also the picture is very busy, looking like a "normal" teenage boys room. This double page spread is very stereotypical with an average teenage boys life.
